About Us:Zanna Cookhouse Ltd is a family-run business in the food production industry, known for our commitment to delivering high-quality, delicious foods. We are expanding our team and are looking for a passionate and experienced individual to join us. This role will report into the Operations manager.Position Overview:As a Food Safety and Quality Control Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring that our products consistently meet all legal, regulatory, and customer requirements. You will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving food safety and quality practices across the site, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and managing quality systems within production operations.The role will also involve supporting and assisting with the implementation, maintenance, and ongoing development of the BRCGS standard, ensuring audit readiness and continual improvement in line with business objectives.Main Duties:Food Safety and ComplianceMaintain the Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) system in line with legislative requirements, customer standards, and internal policies.Documentation and SystemsControl and maintain documentation for the Food Safety Management System.Assist with the implementation and maintenance of the new digital FSQ system, including master data management.Manage production documentation, such as batch records, ensuring proper completion and filing for full traceability.Manage calibration and testing programs for all plant equipment.Audits and Continuous ImprovementConduct food safety audits and manage internal audits, including scheduling and follow-up of actions.Support third-party audits, ensuring corrective actions are closed on time.Drive continuous improvement in food safety and quality, fostering a strong food safety culture within the team.Promote improvements in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and operational working practices.Participate in various improvement projects as required.Testing and VerificationSupervise and coordinate sampling and testing of finished goods and environmental monitoring, including dispatching samples to external labs.Team Leadership and DevelopmentTrain and develop teams in food safety awareness and GMP.Organize and ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual team meetings are held.Understand and apply all legal, regulatory, and food safety requirements relevant to the business.Ensure finished product specifications are managed to maintain quality and compliance.Complete customer questionnaires and support investigations into complaints, including root cause analysis and reporting.Record and address non-conformances promptly, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.Lead the role of HACCP Team Leader, ensuring reviews, risk assessments, and follow-ups are scheduled, actioned, and closed.Ensure allergen controls are adequate, maintained, and compliant.Assist in implementing necessary frameworks and processes to support the organisation in achieving and maintaining BRCGS certification.Key Requirements:Industry Experience: Previous experience working within the food manufacturing industry is essential.Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of HACCP principles and systems.Quality & Compliance: Good knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and experience managing quality systems.Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to work independently when required.Attention to Detail: Strong organizational and administrative skills with a high degree of accuracy.Leadership: Demonstrates strong leadership with the ability to promote a positive food safety culture, build teamwork, resolve issues professionally, and drive operational excellence on the production floor.Coaching & Development: A hands-on approach to coaching and developing teams, ensuring consistent application of food safety and quality standards.Passion for Quality: A genuine drive to deliver safe, high-quality food products.Qualifications:A relevant food safety qualificationSupervisory-level HACCP certification (Level 3 or 4)Experience in food safety/quality systems (HACCP, GMP, BRCGS, etc.)Why Join Us?A supportive and dynamic working environment with room for personal and professional growth.Opportunity to take on key responsibilities in a growing company.Work in a family-oriented business that values your contributions and development.Hands-on experience with food safety and quality management in a thriving food production environment.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: From €37,000.00 per yearBenefits:Bike to work schemeEmployee assistance programOn-site parkingApplication question(s):Do you meet the qualification requirements listed in the job description, including relevant food safety qualifications and supervisory-level HACCP certification?"Experience:Management/ Supervisory : 2 years (required)Work authorisation:Ireland (required)Location:Wexford, County Wexford (required)Work Location: In person
