Water and Wastewater Project Engineer
This is a highly skilled role requiring expertise in the design development of water and wastewater treatment projects. The successful candidate will work on a wide scope of projects across the Island of Ireland, assisting in the design development from early concept stage through to delivery / construction stage.
The project engineer will collaborate with the project manager to prepare delivery documentation for client submissions, including technical submissions, managing sub-consultant submissions, preparing regulatory health & safety documentation, detailed design packages, tendering documentation, and construction design packages.
Responsibilities:
1. Taking ownership of delegated projects and issues;
2. Evaluating client specifications, liaising with clients and representatives;
3. Communicating with project managers, design leads, and sub-consultants during project execution;
4. Interacting with multi-disciplined engineering teams, participating in final design, equipment selection, and procurement activities;
5. Organizing, coordinating, and managing design activities while maintaining H&S standards;
6. Managing aspects of the project within defined timelines through monitoring and tracking for adherence with project brief and program;
Requirements:
* Minimum NFQ Level 7 degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred) or Science Discipline;
* Practical site experience (desired);
* Practical experience in being part of a project team from initial stages to delivery stage;
* Managing design/site activities, including team coordination;
* Ability to work independently and effectively manage and coordinate design/site activities;
* IT skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint;
* Good organizational and time management skills;
* Self-motivated;
* Strong communication and writing skills;
