Quality Technical Manager Food Processing (Monaghan) We are recruiting for a leading food processing facility in Co. Monaghan seeking an experienced Quality Technical Manager. This is a senior site-based role responsible for the oversight of food safety standards, technical compliance, and the management of the quality department. The successful candidate will be a key driver in maintaining a robust quality culture and ensuring the site remains audit-ready for major retailers and regulatory bodies. Core Responsibilities Quality Management System: Maintain and evolve the site QMS to ensure compliance with BRCGS, Bord Bia, and customer-specific standards. HACCP Leadership: Lead the site HACCP team, ensuring all food safety plans are reviewed, validated, and effectively implemented across production. Audit Management: Act as the primary point of contact for all external audits, including BRC, Department of Agriculture, and third-party customer inspections. Technical Oversight: Manage the technical budget, laboratory operations, and raw material specifications to ensure total product integrity. Team Management: Lead and mentor the QA/QC team, providing technical guidance and fostering professional development within the department. Continuous Improvement: Use root cause analysis and CAPA systems to drive down non-conformances and improve process yields. Candidate Profile & CompensationEssential Criteria Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related technical discipline. 5+ years of experience in a technical or quality management role within the food processing industry (Meat, Dairy, or Prepared Foods preferred). Proven track record in successfully leading BRCGS audits (Level 8 or 9). In-depth knowledge of food legislation, labelling requirements, and animal welfare standards (where applicable). Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams. Compensation Salary Range: €55,000 €65,000 per annum (Negotiable based on experience).
