Role Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced
Project Manager
to join a dynamic PMO (Project Management Office / Centre of Excellence) team in Dublin. This role is key in driving project delivery excellence, supporting cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring effective governance across a portfolio of projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage selected projects within the site's portfolio, including process improvements, system implementations, and new product introduction (NPI) projects.
* Lead or support rapid improvement initiatives using the most suitable project methodology (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, etc.).
* Collaborate with project sponsors to ensure the project scope is clearly defined and agreed upon at initiation.
* Drive best practices in project management by working with cross-functional teams to ensure effective planning and on-time delivery.
* Identify and resolve issues, escalating risks promptly to relevant stakeholders.
* Govern the site's project portfolio, ensuring adherence to business processes and appropriate levels of support for successful execution.
* Manage the site risk portfolio in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure effective mitigation strategies are in place.
Experience, Knowledge & Skills
* Minimum 6+ years of industry experience, with at least 4 years managing projects.
* Strong knowledge and practical application of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum).
* Proficient in project management tools/software such as MS Project or Smartsheet.
* Demonstrated success leading cross-functional, matrix-oriented projects.
* Experience within the
pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry
is essential.
Qualifications & Education
* Bachelor's degree in operations management, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
* Experience in vaccines, biologics, or sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
* Project management certification (e.g., PMP) preferred
