WTW is seeking a Property Underwriter who has strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and the ability to build durable Broker/Insurer relationships.
Ability to respond to Broker demands in a timely manner and keep them informed; building relationships with Brokers to help win and retain business. CIP qualification.
The Role
* Follow the risk appetite, rating strength & underwriting rules of the portfolio
* Handle a range of queries and referrals within agreed authority limits
* Process Policies, Schedules, and Endorsements on both Underwriting and Broker Systems and issue all relevant documentation
* Liaise with your team, Brokers, and Underwriters daily on scheme-related issues and develop relationships with them
* Negotiate
* Ensure all messages are recorded and communicated clearly and promptly
* Take responsibility for project assignments as directed by the Team Leader/Operations Manager
Qualifications
The Requirements
* CIP qualification or working towards it
* Relevant years of commercial experience
* Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suites, especially Excel
* Be proactive, flexible, and willing to assist colleagues
* Demonstrate good interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
* Ability to meet deadlines, pay attention to detail, and thrive in a changing environment
