Job Title:Health & Safety Officer Location: Meath Salary: Competitive, DOE Our client is a well-established and growing construction contractor delivering a diverse range of commercial, industrial, fit-out, refurbishment, and specialist construction projects across Leinster. With a strong reputation for quality workmanship, client service, and project delivery, the company operates across multiple sectors and manages projects ranging from smaller fast-track works through to multi-million-euro developments. Due to continued growth and an increasing pipeline of projects, the company is seeking a proactive Health & Safety Officer to support the safe delivery of projects across multiple live construction sites. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the coordination and management of health & safety across a range of active construction projects throughout Leinster. The role will involve a combination of office-based work and regular site visits, ensuring all projects are operating in full compliance with current health & safety legislation and company procedures. You will work closely with site management teams and directors to promote a positive safety culture while ensuring all documentation, inspections, and site activities are maintained to the highest standards. Projects will typically range in value from approximately €50k to €5m, with multiple live sites operating simultaneously. Key Responsibilities: Manage health & safety across multiple live construction projects Prepare and maintain: RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements) PHSPs (Preliminary Health & Safety Plans) Safety statements Site safety documentation Toolbox talks and general compliance paperwork Conduct regular site inspections and audits across all active projects Ensure compliance with current health & safety legislation, company procedures, and client requirements Identify hazards and implement corrective actions where required Support site management teams in maintaining strong safety standards Assist with incident investigations and reporting where necessary Maintain records relating to inspections, training, certifications, and compliance documentation Promote a positive health & safety culture across all projects Liaise with subcontractors and ensure adherence to safe systems of work Provide practical guidance and support to project teams on all H&S matters Candidate Requirements: Previous experience in a Health & Safety Officer role within construction, fit-out, or contracting environments Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH, IOSH, Diploma, Degree, or equivalent) Strong knowledge of Irish construction health & safety regulations Experience preparing RAMS, PHSPs, and associated safety documentation Ability to manage multiple sites and priorities simultaneously Strong communication and organisational skills Full clean drivers licence Ability to work independently and proactively To Apply: Click Apply or send your updated CV to confidentially.
