Automotive Parts Advisor Dublin Overview A well-established automotive distribution and service organisation is currently seeking an experienced Parts Advisor to support the daily operations of a busy parts department and warehouse.
This role involves identifying, sourcing, and supplying vehicle parts to internal service teams, external customers, and a nationwide dealer network.
The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong product knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities Assist customers and internal service teams in identifying and sourcing the correct vehicle parts.
Process parts orders, enquiries, and quotations via phone, email, and in person.
Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records using a parts management system.
Liaise with suppliers to order parts and track deliveries.
Support inventory control processes including stock checks, returns, and stock replenishment.
Provide technical product information and guidance to customers where required.
Handle customer queries and resolve issues in a professional and efficient manner.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe parts counter and storage area.
Contribute to process improvements and participate in ongoing training and development.
Skills & Experience Essential: Minimum 3 years experience in a Parts Advisor or similar role within the automotive industry.
Strong knowledge of vehicle components and aftermarket parts.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Experience using parts management or dealer management systems.
Good computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Desirable: Experience with commercial vehicle parts (trucks, buses, or light commercial vehicles).
Forklift licence.
Automotive qualification or relevant technical training.
Full, clean driving licence.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Adaptable and comfortable working in a busy environment.
