Planet Blue Energy is seeking a qualified and experienced Solar Electrician to join our growing installations team You will be responsible for the professional installation and commissioning of solar PV systems across Ireland, ensuring the highest standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:
· Install and commission solar PV systems, battery storage, and EV charging points on domestic, commercial, and agricultural properties in accordance with Safe Electric specifications and SEAI Code of Practice.
· Conduct electrical inspections, testing, and verification of solar installations to ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
· Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in solar systems, providing timely and effective solutions to maintain system performance.
· Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging professionally with clients, explaining works being undertaken, and addressing any technical queries or concerns.
· Collaborate effectively with installation teams, including roofers and project coordinators, to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to specification.
· Maintain accurate records of all work performed, materials used, and documentation required for SEAI grant applications and compliance purposes.
· Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations at all times, maintaining safe working practices on site.
· Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced team members, contributing to overall team development and knowledge sharing.
Skills & Qualifications:
· Fully qualified electrician with valid electrical certification and at least 3 years of domestic electrical experience.
· SEAI registration for solar PV installations is highly desirable, or demonstrable familiarity with SEAI regulations and Code of Practice.
· Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and Test & Verification certifications required (or willingness to obtain).
· Strong understanding of electrical systems, solar PV technology, battery storage solutions, and EV charging infrastructure.
· Excellent problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
· Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
· Valid full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across Ireland.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
· Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with evolving solar technologies and regulations.
· Valid full clean driving licence.
