Acorn Life DAC and Acorn Brokerage Limited (trading as Ask Acorn) are recruiting a Senior Compliance Specialist, for a 12-month FTC, to work closely with the Head of Compliance to assist with the delivery of all aspects of the Compliance Programme.The role is a Controlled Function CF-2 role in accordance with the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness & Probity Regime. This is a hybrid working role.Overview of Duties:Assist in the development and management of key compliance policies and procedures.Ensure business as usual compliance requirements are met.Assist with regulatory reporting and managing the relationship with the Central Bank of Ireland.Assist with regulatory audits, inspections, and thematic assessments to ensure readiness and sound execution.Assist with the identification, monitoring, and management of key changes in regulations.Assist with the implementation of regulations to include managing key work streams/projects to ensure full complianceLead the management of the compliance business-as-usual Anti-Money Laundering (AML)/Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF) requirements.Provide support and assistance to the Data Protection Officer where necessary.Conduct compliance monitoring reviews and report findings.Support the Head of Compliance with the preparation of compliance management reports for senior management and externally.Provide compliance advice to key stakeholders, senior management, and the business units.Assist with the preparation and delivery of in-house compliance training modulesAssist with the management of errors and breaches to include errors and breaches reporting.Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and the business units.Promote a culture of compliance with the firms.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong understanding of laws, regulations which apply to the insurance industry. Sound analytical and report writing skills.Ability to work well with others and manage business relationships.An ethical mindset and decision-making skills.Solutions orientated.Education and/or Experience:Relevant experience (+3 years) in a second line of defence compliance role(s) within a regulated entity (preferably insurance sector).Degree qualified (i.e. business, law, compliance).Compliance qualification(s) attained, a distinct advantage.
