We are looking for a talented Customer Support Engineer based in our Dublin, Ireland location. Major Responsibilities include:
1. Customer service activities associated with updating, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing complex electro-optical and electro-mechanical equipment at customer site.
2. Representing the company to the customer and ensuring customer satisfaction with the service provided.
3. Coordinating actions with customers to minimize downtime.
4. Preparing field service reports on customer support activities and providing documentation to other supporting functions regarding re-occurring problems.
5. Interfacing with technical support, headquarters engineering, and manufacturing engineering on maintenance procedures and equipment reliability.
Essential soft and technical skills:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
* Good practical skills in electronic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical assembly.
* Ability to read and work with engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Good presentation and communication skills.
* Availability to travel to other European sites on a limited basis.
* Availability for training periods in the USA, Asia, or other locations.
* Proficiency in MS Office tools.
* A valid driving license for the country of employment is required.
The successful candidate will work a day shift pattern supporting a 7-day, 24-hour manufacturing environment, with a shift cycle allowance. Training will be provided at one of our award-winning centers in the USA (California), Singapore, or Taiwan.
