With the redevelopment and opening of our second nursing home this year, this position offers a rare opportunity to help modernise our finance function and contribute to shaping how we operate in the future - including leveraging AI tools and automation to enhance efficiency and reporting.Key ResponsibilitiesPayrollProcess Monthly Payroll and associated Revenue and legislative filing.Maintain accurate records in Sage MicropayValidate time and attendance before payroll approvalSupport Month End and Year End payroll reportingEnsure compliance with taxation, pensions, and legislative requirementsFinance OperationsSupport AP/Procurement and AR functionsReview and approve purchase ordersAssist with Month End close and internal reportingOversee resident billing and staff accommodation chargesPrepare audit schedules and liaise with auditorsTransformation, Automation & AIIdentify opportunities to automate manual tasks using finance systems and AI-driven toolsUse AI to support reporting, analysis, and data validationContribute to the design of scalable, technology-enabled finance processesSupport upcoming system upgrades and digital transformation projectsCandidate RequirementsIPASS qualified or part-qualified / newly qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)5+ years' experience in a similar finance roleAt least 1 year of hands-on payroll experienceStrong Excel and IT abilityExperience with (or strong interest in) AI-assisted finance tools, automation, or data analyticsExperience with Sage Micropay or Sage 50 (an advantage)Who You AreExceptionally accurate and detail-orientedComfortable analysing data and improving processesCurious about new technologies and how AI can enhance finance operationsExcellent communicator with strong interpersonal skillsAble to work independently and collaborate effectively in a small teamThrive in a dynamic and growing environmentOrwell Healthcare is an equal opportunities employer.
