I'm currently recruiting an Engineer with strong Technical Project Management skills for one of our FMCG clients based in Mayo.
In this role, you'll be responsible for leading the management, implementation, and execution of technical projects.
You'll work closely with customers, software development teams, hardware teams, and product owners to investigate and triage issues in the field, identify defect patterns, and develop project plans that meet transformation goals.
What You'll Do for Us
Lead technical aspects in the evaluation, troubleshooting, and implementation of new products and packages, working with the market development team and bottlers.
Collaborate with technical teams in the execution of new technologies, processes, and innovative solutions and products in the market, and provide technical operations support in the implementation of promotions and line extensions.
Ensure continuity of supply of current packages and brands by reviewing sales trends, current production capacities, and capabilities; ensure timely infrastructure availability and plan execution working with bottler technical teams to sustain business growth in manufacturing and logistics.
Ensure raw materials and packaging supply to support sales growth, maintaining supply continuity across the entire supply chain, and act as an enabler for system alignment to drive results.
Drive productivity initiatives across the system, identify opportunities to lower supply chain costs, and influence the implementation of practices to improve product affordability.
Be involved in developing business plan objectives and work collaboratively to ensure the timely execution of technical supporting activities.
Support package and product quality, co-lead efforts to minimize risks to the company and the brand, ensuring compliance with technical policies in our bottler system, and influence bottlers to make appropriate investments and improve the human capabilities of their personnel.
Review prototypes and define appropriate improvements to ensure brand fit, aligning with bottling partners on implementation, and establishing necessary investments where needed.
Coordinate and lead technical projects that require cross-system and cross-functional cooperation to deliver innovations in products, packaging, and promotions.
Lead the review of new product market performance and develop a plan to address any technical issues and meet business requirements.
Qualification & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Food Engineering or a related field is required.
5+ years of experience in a fast-moving consumer goods company, with the ability to leverage technical knowledge for competitive advantage.
Ability to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose resolutions.
Ability to work independently, raise issues, and take corrective action.
Detail-oriented, analytical, and creative thinker with a passion for quality processes.
Fluent in software QA metrics, operations, and statistics.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience from concept to launch using a defined NPD or change management process.
Proven project management experience with the ability to define and lead projects and motivate teams.
Track record of identifying and reducing top practices and technologies for CPG companies to solve challenging business needs.
Ability to develop solutions and manage expectations of internal and external partners against technical and business success criteria with limited resources.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
