Procurement Specialist Job Overview
In this key role, you will be part of the Category Management team and ensure that goods and services are procured efficiently to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Review incoming purchase requisitions and enter purchase orders into ERP systems. Ensure timely completion and accuracy of purchasing tasks.
* Manage and report on expiring or aged POs, including administration, clean up, and close-out procedures.
* Act as a resource and Subject Matter Expert for stakeholders in buying processes and resolve any questions or issues.
* Collaborate with Category Managers on spend analytics and requirements gathering, supporting data-driven decision-making.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and present recommendations.
You will also participate in supplier management by assessing and evaluating suppliers, contributing to performance reviews, and resolving price, quality, or delivery issues with suppliers.
A relevant degree or equivalent is required; certifications are a plus. 1-5 years of experience in procurement or a similar field are necessary. Knowledge of current procurement principles, practices, and methods is essential.
