Country Lead - Ireland & United Kingdom

Role Overview

The Country Sales Director is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving business growth across Ireland and the United Kingdom. The position also oversees local manufacturing and engineering operations in Ireland, working closely with the local Operations Manager to ensure operational excellence. As the senior representative in the region, the Director holds legal responsibility for the Irish entity and represents the company to key external stakeholders.

Purpose of the Role

* Drive sustainable business growth across Ireland and the UK, with a strong operational focus on Ireland.
* Lead strategic account management with major utility clients.
* Develop and implement the Annual Business Plan in alignment with global strategy.
* Act as the senior company representative in Ireland with customers, partners, vendors, and public stakeholders.
* Oversee and optimise the performance of the Irish manufacturing operations.
* Safeguard organisational know-how and foster collaboration across the global group.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and execute a strategic plan for Ireland and the UK aligned with global growth objectives.
* Achieve annual revenue and profitability targets across all business lines in the region.
* Lead and develop the Irish factory operations in collaboration with the local Operations Manager.
* Build, lead, and manage the local sales team, including recruitment and performance management.
* Oversee a multidisciplinary team spanning HR, Engineering, Production, Quality, and Customer Care.
* Attract, develop, and retain high-performing talent to strengthen the organisation.
* Foster a culture of empowerment, accountability, and alignment with corporate values.
* Collaborate with global senior leadership to ensure strategic alignment and leverage synergies.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, policies, and governance standards.
* Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence across all departments under the Irish entity.

Reporting Structure

* Reports to European Head.

The Candidate:

Ideally you will have operated at a similar senior level and have ideally previous experience as a CEO / Managing Director / General Manager or "Head of Function" within a similar environment and hold a Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Location

* The role is based in a town in the eastern region of Ireland, offering convenient access to Dublin and key transport links.

Salary advertised is not reflective of overall package and will be discussed with relevant Partner in Odgers.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: From €140,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Ballsbridge, Dublin
