Role Summary
The Tax Director is a senior leader within the Tax practice, responsible for delivering high-quality tax advisory and compliance services to Irish and international clients. The role involves leading complex tax engagements, managing key client relationships, driving business development, and developing high-performing teams, while ensuring the highest standards of quality and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and deliver complex tax advisory, compliance, and transactional engagements.
2. Act as the primary senior contact for a portfolio of clients.
3. Provide technically robust, commercially focused tax advice across Irish and cross-border matters.
4. Oversee quality, risk, and regulatory compliance across engagements.
5. Identify and drive new business opportunities, supporting proposals and pitches.
6. Lead, mentor, and develop Managers and wider tax teams.
Skills & Experience
7. 8–12+ years' tax experience, ideally within a Big 4 or leading professional services firm.
8. Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent).
9. Strong technical tax expertise with proven leadership capability.
10. Excellent client relationship, communication, and commercial skills.
11. Experience managing teams and contributing to practice growth.
