Engage in Education supports students and families from disadvantaged communities to successfully progress through the education system — from primary school through to further and higher education.
Based in Limerick, we currently support 400 students through long-term, structured programmes designed to build confidence, aspiration, academic achievement, and access to opportunity.
Our work begins in primary school and continues through secondary school and into university, ensuring that students and their families receive consistent, sustained support at every stage of their educational journey.
Community Change Fund – Corporate Partnership Opportunity
We are currently developing our Community Change Fund, an ambitious initiative designed to secure the long-term sustainability of our programmes and expand our impact.
The goal of the Community Change Fund is to:
Ensure continued support for our current 400 students
Expand access to additional students and families
Strengthen long-term educational outcomes in disadvantaged communities
Build sustainable corporate partnerships that create shared social value
Corporate Advisory & Development Opportunity
We are seeking experienced professionals from the corporate sector who can:
Provide strategic guidance on the development of the Community Change Fund
Support the design and implementation of a corporate engagement strategy
Advise on fundraising models, governance, and sustainability
Assist in building relationships within the corporate community
Support impact measurement and reporting aligned with ESG priorities

Committee Position Description:
Title: Member, Corporate Patrons Committee
Reports To: Director, Engage in Education
Time Commitment: Approx. 6–8 hours per quarter
Term: Volunteer 12 months, renewable
Purpose of the Role:
To serve as an ambassador, connector, and advocate for Engage in Education and the Community Change Fund, helping to expand its reach, profile, and financial sustainability through personal engagement and influence.
Key Responsibilities:
Promote the mission and impact of Engage and the CCF within your professional and personal networks.
Introduce at least two new potential partners or funders per year.
Attend quarterly Committee meetings and the Annual CCF Impact Event.
Support at least one fundraising or stewardship activity annually (e.g., speaking at an event, hosting a briefing, writing an endorsement).
Provide strategic insights to the Director and fundraising team on potential partnerships, trends, or opportunities.
Where possible, contribute a personal or corporate donation to the CCF, demonstrating leadership by example (no fixed minimum).

Strong professional network and ability to connect others to Engage’s mission.
Integrity, credibility, and discretion in representing Engage externally.
Expertise in one or more of: philanthropy, corporate social responsibility, education, communications, community leadership, or public affairs.
Willingness to champion Engage’s story publicly and privately.
Support & Recognition:
Members receive regular updates and briefing materials from Engage’s Director and fundraising lead.
Recognition in Engage’s annual report, website, and CCF communications (with consent).
Invitations to Engage events, school visits, and partner convenings.
Opportunities to shape the long-term funding and impact strategy of the CCF.
Expected Outcomes:
Enhanced visibility and reach of Engage in Education.
Strengthened funding pipeline for the Community Change Fund.
Active, trusted network of champions contributing to long-term sustainability.
