As we continue to expand and innovate, we are looking for an experienced General Manager (Operations) to lead and optimize our operations. Role Overview: As the General Manager (Operations), you will have full oversight of the entire site, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across all departments. Youll lead a diverse team, drive operational improvements, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on leadership role, where your presence on the shop floor will be crucial to understanding and refining day-to-day processes. Key Responsibilities: Operational Leadership: Take ownership of the day-to-day operations across multiple departments (production, maintenance, cold storage, and office functions). Team Management: Lead, develop, and hold your team accountable, fostering a high-performance culture across all levels. Efficiency & Growth: Identify and implement process improvements to increase production efficiency, reduce waste, and drive volume growth. Site Oversight: Manage and maintain a large, complex site (10 acres), ensuring that all areas operate smoothly and are aligned with the company's goals. Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous improvement, helping the company stay agile, competitive, and innovative. Coordination & Communication: Work closely with department heads and the ownership team to ensure alignment across departments and drive organizational efficiency. Hands-On Leadership: Be actively involved on the shop floor, providing guidance and support to your teams, while remaining focused on the broader strategic goals. What Were Looking For: Proven Leadership: At least 5+ years of senior operational experience in a manufacturing, engineering, logistics, or related field. Food/FMCG experience is a plus but not essential. People-Centric: Strong people management skills, with a track record of leading and developing high-performing teams across multiple departments. Operational Excellence: A deep understanding of production processes and the ability to drive efficiencies, improve systems, and scale operations. Hands-On & Practical: Comfortable being on the floor, observing operations, and stepping in to solve problems when needed. Cultural Fit: A down-to-earth, no-nonsense approach suited to an entrepreneurial and fast-moving environment. Adaptability and a strong sense of common sense are key. Communication: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of staff, including senior leadership.
