The Role
We are searching for a Legal Executive to join our team in Dublin.
The Legal Executive will primarily work with the Surveyor teams in Ireland and the UK to prepare for upcoming auctions. This involves corresponding with Surveyors and responding to their legal queries, communicating with external Solicitors and conducting a thorough review of all contracts and title documentation to ensure everything from a legal perspective is in order before auction day.
The Legal Executive will be based in the Dublin office (hybrid model) and report into the Group Compliance Manager. The Legal Executive will manage the auction cycle legal process for Ireland and the UK and support the Group Compliance function in relation to regulatory obligations.
Responsibilities
Preparing and issuing auction reports to concerning Vendor Solicitor information, outstanding legal packs and outstanding legal queries.
Attending daily Auction Team meetings to discuss the preparations for upcoming auctions and where necessary, to raise any concerns with Surveyors.
Corresponding with External Solicitors and assisting with queries regarding the secure upload of legal packs prior to auction.
Conducting a review of every property going for auction which includes:
Review Contract and Title Documents provided by the Vendor’s Solicitor
Review marketing materials on the website to ensure details correspond to the legal pack
Where necessary raising any concerns/queries/GDPR issues with the Vendor Solicitors.
Ensuring any contracts amendment are completed by Vendor Solicitors. Drafting addendums to particulars on the website where there are changes to the legal pack.
Working with the External Solicitor on auction day to ensure all contracts are reviewed, signed and issued to all parties. Addressing any queries that may arise.
Liaising with External Solicitors in relation to legal proceedings served, assisting with the proceedings throughout and managing the Ireland Legal Matter list
Managing BidX1’s DPO inbox by ensuring all DSAR and GDPR requests are addressed and responded to
Drafting correspondence to the PSRA and assisting with any investigations concerning the Company.
Sending of UK Agency Agreements to Vendors prior to Auction
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in law, or diploma in legal studies.
Two years’ conveyancing experience as a legal executive.
Litigation experience is desirable.
Good knowledge of data protection and anti-money laundering regulation desirable.
An analytical mindset with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to adapt with rapidly changing priorities and to manage competing tasks in a dynamic environment.
Flexible, strong, and self-assured personality, builds connections and trust across internal and external stakeholders.
