We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of an Udupi-style vegetarian restaurant. The role involves managing staff, ensuring authentic food and service quality, maintaining hygiene standards, and delivering an excellent dining experience rooted in traditional South Indian hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the Udupi restaurant (dine-in, takeaway, kitchen coordination)
Ensure consistent quality of food, service, and customer experience
Supervise and manage staff (service crew, supervisors, kitchen coordination)
Coordinate closely with Udupi cooks to maintain authenticity of dishes
Handle customer feedback and resolve complaints professionally
Monitor inventory of South Indian ingredients (rice, lentils, spices, batter, etc.)
Control operational costs including food, labor, and wastage
Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and local regulations
Manage billing, cash handling, and daily sales reporting
Maintain cleanliness and traditional presentation standards
Support promotions, special menus (festivals, meals), and business growth
