You will be responsible for helping Project Managers carry out quantity surveying duties in conjunction with other team members and provide effective financial and contractual control on all contracts, whilst ensuring that all contractual communications and notices are compliant. The role will involve full range of Quantity Surveying experience from civils through to turnkey handover of fully finished Modular Buildings. This is a key senior role within the Actavo Modular business unit.Responsibilities:Adhere to and maintain compliance with all Health and Safety procedures within your work. Ensuring you are responsible for yourself and/or team members who report into youCost value management and cost control – preparation of monthly CVF's and CVR'sPerforming risk assessments and proposing mitigation measuresOverseeing the administration and charge order process for all CSA and MEP packagesInterrogation of projected cashflow forecasts received from subcontractorsPreparation of contract claims, reports and correspondenceAdvising on procurement strategy and development of supply chain subcontractorsIssuing contract letters of appointment and supporting documentation to subcontractorsChairing and issuing reports of monthly commercial meetingsValuing completed work and issuing subcontractor payment certificatesEnsure all changes are captured and costings appropriately assessed and validated prior to issuing to the design teamPreparing tender and contract documentsEnsuring the administration of all projects follows the contract protocolsUndertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project workAssisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studiesIdentifying, analysing, and developing responses to commercial risksEnsuring the contract administration and filing system follows Actavo's template file structureProviding advice on contractual claimsAnalysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reportsMaintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use and advising project teams accordinglyRequirements:Degree/Qualification in Quantity Surveying8+ years related commercial experienceExperienced in handling multi-sites simultaneously with broad range of knowledge of all tradesStrong knowledge and experience of contractual requirementsCivils or Modular Buildings experience preferredBenefits:Pension planLife assurance – 4 times your annual salaryEmployee assistance programmeRefer a friend schemeMaternity payEmployee discounts – on hotels, gyms, electronics and moreEducational assistanceCareer progression opportunitiesLong Service Awards
