Sous Chef – Full Time
Location: Briar Rose Bar & Grill, Douglas Road, Cork

We're looking for a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our busy kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced chef who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working as part of a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of a busy bar food and function kitchen.
* Maintain high standards in food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
* Supervise the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.
* Assist with menu planning and development.
* Oversee ordering, stock control, and stock rotation.
* Maintain HACCP records and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
* Help implement cleaning and maintenance schedules.
* Manage portion control, minimise waste, and maintain food quality.
* Foster positive relationships with suppliers and kitchen colleagues.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Sous Chef (or senior Chef de Partie) in a busy kitchen is essential.
* Excellent communication skills and fluent English.
* Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
* A passion for delivering great food and maintaining high standards.
