About the Role We are looking for a Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team for 2/3 days per week, initially focusing on accounts payable, however we expect the role to develop to include additional accounting related work. Responsibilities Manage accounts payable processes, including verifying, coding, and processing invoices for payment. Working with Procure Wizard, the businesss purchase to pay software, to ensure that discrepancies between purchase order and invoices are resolved, any credit notes requested are followed up with suppliers and received on a timely basis, invoice data imported to the businesss accounting system and copy invoices uploaded to accounting system. Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments via EFT. Prepare payment runs in alignment with company schedules and vendor terms. Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions using the businesss accounting software Assist with month-end closing, including reconciling accounts payable ledgers and preparing reports for management. Support additional bookkeeping tasks as needed, such as petty cash and expense tracking. Qualifications and Skills Leaving Certificate or equivalent; a diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field would be an advantage. 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounts payable, ideally in an Irish business environment. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Excel. Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and basic accounting principles. Familiarity with Irish tax regulations, including VAT and Revenue requirements. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage time effectively in a part-time role. Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams. Work Hours & Benefits Part-time role, 2-3 days per week (approximately 15-20 hours), with flexibility to agree on specific hours and days.
