Field Service Engineer
Mason Technology is a wholly owned Irish company established in 1780. Its principal activities include the distribution and supply of laboratory and analytical instruments.
Role
The position is a full-time permanent contract and is based in Munster, with a requirement to travel countrywide when necessary.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for testing and calibration of electro‑mechanical instrumentation products and modules in a laboratory or manufacturing setting to maintain functionality and accuracy, including but not limited to:
* PM, Calibration and certification to ISO17025 or ISO9001 of Temperature Control Units such as Fridges/Freezers, Ovens, Incubators, Warehouses/Cold‑rooms
* PM, Calibration and certification to ISO17025 or ISO9001 of piston operated volume units e.g. pipettes, dispensers and burettes
* PM, Calibration and certification to ISO17025 or ISO9001 of temperature probes including PT100, PT1000, T Type, K Type, Thermistors
* PM, Calibration and certification to ISO17025 or ISO9001 of a wide range of Weighing Equipment such as Analytical/Semi‑Micro Balances, Ultra‑Micro/Micro Balances, Top Pan Balances, Pit Scales
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required
* A recognised course completed in electrical, instrumentation or mechanical engineering.
* Previous experience in a similar technical role is essential.
* Experience of working within Quality systems such as ISO, INAB, etc.
* Experience of working within Regulatory systems such as FDA, EUP, UKP, IMB, etc.
* Ability to fault‑find and repair laboratory equipment.
* A good knowledge of related industry products and tools.
* Full clean driving licence is essential.
