About the role
Senior Aveva OSI PI Engineer – site-based project in Dublin.
This role requires deep experience with OSI Data Historian Systems, Control Systems and Process Analysis.
The successful candidate should have an extensive background in software engineering, systems analysis and software development within the pharmaceutical industry, be highly motivated, an innovative thinker, and a self-starter with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
Review and analyse User Requirements Specification Documents
Support development of Detail Design specifications and system architectures
Develop PI Tags, Asset Framework templates and analyses, PI Event Frames
Develop PI Graphic User Interface / Visuals
Support software development, testing, commissioning and qualification
Provide first-line PI sustaining support
Support execution of system changes and optimisation under site change control
Conduct PI Qualification Execution
Job Functions
Solid understanding of the Aveva / OSIsoft PI system
Experience installing, configuring, validating and tuning PI Server and interfaces
Experience using PI client tools including PI Vision, DataLink and PI RtReports
Experience implementing analytic solutions with PI Asset Framework, PI AF Analytics and Performance Equations
Solid understanding of Windows OS, networking and system security fundamentals
Analytical and troubleshooting skills and methodical approach to solving difficult problems
Strong MS Word and Excel skills
Team oriented, but self-sufficient
Excellent communication skills and client-facing rapport
Non-essential Job Functions
Software development experience in .
NET using disciplined coding and testing regiments
Experience writing software applications and web services using PI-SDK and AF-SDK
Experience installing and configuring web-based applications
Requirements
Familiarity with ISA 88 and GAMP
Minimum 5+ years of relevant industry PI experience
Pharma industry experience preferred but not essential
PI System Training
Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
