We are looking for a talented Senior Process Engineer to join our growing Process Engineering team at our office in Cork, Ireland.The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing manufacturing processes and supporting utilities on a scale that can range from developmental pilot plant to full commercial production. We require a candidate with process design and operations experience in pharmaceutical facilities, including biologic and organic synthesis Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Assist the Lead Process Engineer with conceptual design deliverables such as Process Flow Diagrams and Material and Energy Balances.Design utilities generation and distribution systems for new and existing manufacturing processes, including Utility Sizing models.Generate Process P&IDs that include process control strategy and CIP/SIP functions, if appropriate.Generate P&IDs for critical utility systems, such as Pharma Water, Clean Steam, Process Gases, Heat Transfer Systems, and Process Waste.Perform engineering studies for expanding, improving, or automating existing facilities without supervision.Produce Equipment specifications and Datasheets for process equipment and instrumentation.Support the delivery of Vendor packages through Scoping, Specification, Detailed Design, Construction, and CQV.Generate Process Calculations to support design.Support Process Safety and Environmental studies including HAZOP, ATEX, Risk Assessment, COSHH, and implementation of EU/ISO standards.Own the process-related aspects of projects and provide technical support to the project design team.Utilize and develop company design and production tools, including process simulation and smart P&IDs.Establish and maintain excellent relationships with clients and the IPS design team.Undertake special projects as assigned.Qualifications & Requirements:Minimum of 8 years of process engineering design experience in the Biopharmaceutical industry.Experience in process design and operations in pharmaceutical facilities, including biologic and organic synthesis Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients.Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering.Proven experience generating PFDs, P&IDs, process equipment datasheets, supporting calculations, studies, and narratives.Knowledge of Pharma system design and applicable codes.Strong time management, project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually, with video required.About UsSpecialties include Process Architecture, Process Design, Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, Qualification, LEAN Project Delivery, and more.All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, creed, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression, genetic predisposition, veteran status, marital, or citizenship status.
