The PR Account Director is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic direction, growth, and overall performance of a diverse portfolio of clients across Ireland, Europe and North America. This position leads the development of integrated communications programmes that strengthen reputation, drive visibility, and directly support client business objectives. The Account Director also plays a key role in generating and securing new client leads, contributing directly to agency growth and market presence.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as senior client lead across multiple accounts, acting as a strategic advisor andprimary escalation point while overseeing day-to-day account delivery.Set communications strategy and campaign direction, ensuring programmes are insight-led,results-driven, and aligned to client business goals.Lead the development and placement of high-impact thought leadership, including op-eds,executive profiling, bylines, and feature articles in top-tier and trade media.Oversee the creation of campaigns, press materials, and key messaging frameworks, ensuringconsistency, quality, and strategic relevance.Direct comprehensive media relations programmes, including senior journalist engagement,reputation management, and proactive opportunity creation.Own client reporting and evaluation, providing strategic interpretation of performanceand actionable recommendations.Proactively identify, pursue, and cultivate new client leads through networking, industryengagement, referrals, and market scanning.Build and manage a new business pipeline in collaboration with agency leadership, contributingto growth targets.Lead and support new business pitches, including opportunity qualification, proposaldevelopment, pitch strategy, and presentations.Identify organic growth opportunities within existing accounts and convert them intoexpanded scopes of work.Represent the agency externally at industry events, panels, and networking forums tostrengthen brand presence and generate opportunities.Build and maintain deep sector expertise, monitoring the media and stakeholder landscapeto anticipate trends, risks, and opportunities for clients.Contribute to agency thought leadership, marketing initiatives, and strategic planning.BenefitsCompetitive Salary: Commensurate with experience.Generous Leave policy of up to 29 days including service days, volunteer days, birthday leave etc.Profit Sharing: Yearly profit-share bonus scheme.Flexibility: Hybrid working model.Growth: Dedicated professional development and clear pathways to senior agency leadership
