The Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Production Manager to lead our site operations in Pottery Road. This role is responsible for overseeing a team of Supervisors and Team Leaders, ensuring strong performance across all production activities while fostering a positive, high‑performing culture. You will play a key role in delivering operational excellence, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring a high standard of service delivery to customers.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and HR policies and procedures
Lead and manage the Production Team to achieve all operational KPIs
Monitor production performance, resolving issues in a timely manner
Plan and organise workflow to meet customer and dispatch requirements
Maintain appropriate staffing levels in line with operational demand
Drive continuous improvement projects across production operations
Complete daily and weekly reporting (shift reports, utilities, tracking tools)
Communicate machine and operational issues to the maintenance team
Monitor employee performance, providing coaching and feedback
Manage payroll processes accurately and efficiently
Promote a productive, engaged, and motivated team environment
Ensure all staff are trained to required company standards
Support succession planning and employee development initiatives
Collaborate with Customer Service, Distribution, HR, and Maintenance teams
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and audit readiness
Support site-wide Health & Safety initiatives and compliance
Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar leadership role
Strong understanding of operational efficiency and production processes
Demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to drive performance and meet business deadlines
Experience in continuous improvement and project management
Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills
