Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Waterford for an initial 12-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion within the scope and quality parameters set by the client.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver multiple biopharmaceutical equipment projects simultaneously, focusing on enzyme, monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), oral dosage, medical devices, laboratories, and packaging operations.
* Procure and accept equipment and infrastructure, providing regular project status reports throughout the lifecycle.
* Maintain compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as approved project KPIs, performance standards, and specifications.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and vendors, to ensure successful project deployment.
* Chair and facilitate project teams, interpreting their requirements and obtaining approval for project scope adjustments.
* Assign tasks, mentor team members, and maintain accurate project planning documentation according to the Sanofi stage gate model.
* Provide weekly reports to management and senior stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
* Support project participants in overcoming obstacles and review engineering deliverables to initiate site change controls and associated documentation.
* Ensure performance metrics are met for budget, schedule, scope, and quality adherence.
Requirements
* Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or equivalent Engineering discipline.
* Minimum 5+ years' experience in a project management role, preferably in a cGMP pharmaceutical environment.
* Excellent communication skills, dedication, and focus on delivering key results within the role.
* Masters degree is an advantage.
