IFRS Accounting Specialist
Become an expert in IFRS accounting and join our team as an IFRS Accounting Specialist. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting and analysis to support business decisions.
The successful candidate will have 3+ years PQE in a financial services environment and will oversee a small team reviewing monthly management accounts and associated regulatory returns. They will also support the preparation of statutory financial statements in line with IFRS accounting standards and foster an environment of continuous improvement of internal controls, processes, and financial systems while ensuring compliance.
About the Role
In this role, you will lead the preparation of statutory financial statements in line with IFRS accounting standards and develop effective internal controls, processes, and financial systems. You will also review and analyze monthly management accounts and associated regulatory returns, providing full analysis and commentary on variances.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the preparation of statutory financial statements in line with IFRS accounting standards.
* Develop and implement effective internal controls, processes, and financial systems, ensuring compliance.
* Review and analyze monthly management accounts and associated regulatory returns, providing full analysis and commentary on variances.
* Participate in finance-related projects, including supporting the ERP implementation.
* Play a key role in the successful delivery of the year-end Audit, including audit preparation, responding to audit queries, and preparation of technical accounting memos.
Requirements
* Qualified Accountant with 3+ years PQE within a financial services environment.
* Proven expertise in IFRS accounting and proficiency in financial reporting software.
* Confident pro-active self-starter with a can-do attitude, who can work on their own initiative and meet tight deadlines.
* Proficient data analytical and advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint capability.
* Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
