We here at Zest! are looking to recruit a senior baker / pastry chef. This is a hands on role working as a member of the team and overseeing the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring efficient production, high-quality baked goods.
Responsibilities
* Staff Management: Training, supervising, and scheduling bakery staff, delegating tasks, and fostering a positive work environment.
* Production Oversight: Ensuring the consistent quality and timely production of baked goods, monitoring production schedules, and adjusting as needed.
* Inventory Management: Maintaining adequate stock levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders, and managing storage.
* Food Safety and Sanitation: Ensuring the bakery adheres to all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and properly handling food items.
* Quality Control: Inspecting baked goods for quality, ensuring they meet established standards, and implementing quality control procedures.
* Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring all equipment is in good working order, scheduling maintenance and repairs as needed.
* Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicating with staff, management, and suppliers.
* Training: Training new employees on proper baking techniques, sanitation procedures, and company policies.
