Our client is a well-known transport infrastructural company based in Dublin, who are currently recruiting for a Road Maintenance Depot Manager to join their team on permanent basis. The Ideal candidate will possess experience in motorway maintenance/construction.
Responsibilities:
1. Direct report to O&M Manager and Deputy
2. Ensuring the smooth, lawful and efficient running of the operation & maintenance depot in liaison with managers as appropriate and following the leadership and direction of the Deputy O&M Manager in collaboration with the O&M Manager and working in unison with them for contract delivery (of the MMaRC Gen 2 "the Contract"), including the direct line management of staff locally and maintenance of all standards and controls set out in the Contract.
3. Ensure compliance with all duties and responsibilities under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act,, The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations, the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Construction Regulations, the Protection of the Environment Act and all other Regulations, Codes of Practice, Etc.
4. Programming and Planning Works.
5. Depot housekeeping and plant maintenance
6. Salt Management (strategic TII), Weighbridge calibration, loading shovel delegation, coordinating Local authorities' deliveries, (Balbriggan only);
7. Inspections of site works, quality control and ensuring front-line standards of work are sustained.
Requirements:
8. Full, clean 'B' Driving license essential
9. Motorway maintenance/construction experience
10. Proficient IT skills
11. Leadership and Team Management: ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of workers, including operatives, administration staff, & other personnel.
12. Organization and Planning: Strong organizational skills to coordinate works, manage inventory & schedule operations efficiently.
13. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members, upper management, and external stakeholders.
14. Health and Safety Knowledge: In-depth understanding of safety regulations, ensuring the depot complies with safety standards and protocols.
