About Your New Employer Group Accountant role with an Irish business in the Utilities sector based in North West Dublin.
About Your New Job As the Group Accountant, you will report directly to the Director of Finance.
You will be a key member of the management team within the Finance Department, working with the Director and Group Cost Accountant and other senior managers within the finance function.
Key Responsibilities: Managing teams to coordinate and deliver on internal and external reporting requirements.
Preparation and analysis of the Group Financial Statements to strict deadlines.
Responsibility for preparation of financial forecasts for the group and subsidiary companies.
Preparation of trading updates and commentary papers.
Providing leadership to the accounting teams on technical accounting matters.
Overseeing the annual audit engagement with external statutory auditors.
Ensuring financial controls are effective and appropriately applied.
Identifying projects across the Finance function for continuous improvement.
Providing support to business development activities.
Managing and supporting teams to ensure staff receive continuing training and development.
Liaising with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
What You Need Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc).
Excellent technical accounting skills.
Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrable track record in commercial projects.
Ability to achieve tight deadlines.
Good working knowledge of Irish tax legislation.
Stamp 4 or EU Passport required (sponsorship not on offer).
