Network Engineer Role Summary

As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for configuring and implementing network architecture to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Your duties will include monitoring system performance, performing regular updates, and collaborating with the Global IT Infrastructure Network team to assess, improve, and enhance the existing security posture of Dexcom's IT and OT networks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Configure and implement network architecture to ensure optimal performance and reliability
* Monitor system performance and perform regular updates
* Collaborate with the Global IT Infrastructure Network team to assess, improve, and enhance the existing security posture of Dexcom's IT and OT networks
* Document system configurations and procedures
* Work closely with regional and local IT teams and customers
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
* Minimum of 5-8 years related experience or Master's degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 0-2 years experience
* Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
* Proven subject matter expertise as a Network Engineer in network hardware, software configuration, networking technologies, TCP/IP, Cisco, and/or Extreme Routing/Switching/WiFi
* Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques
* Deep understanding of ITIL-compliant environments
* Familiarity with ServiceNow or another IT service management solution
* Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effective listening skills and the ability to communicate accurately and effectively in person, over the telephone, through email, and other business correspondence

Travel Requirements: 20% initially, reducing to 10%
