Healthcare Assistant Job Overview
This role involves supporting patients with mobility issues, performing clinical observations, and maintaining accurate records.
* Key Responsibilities:
* • Assist patients with walking and mobility to ensure their safety and comfort.
* • Perform clinical observations such as taking blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and urinalysis under the supervision of nursing staff.
* • Record accurate patient information and communicate effectively with colleagues and nursing staff.
* • Identify potential hazards and report them to the nurse in charge.
* • Participate in developing a comprehensive care plan for patients.
* • Perform administrative tasks including preparing paperwork and assisting with New Patient Clinics/Simulation Scans.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* • Relevant health skills QQI level 5 qualification or equivalent relevant healthcare qualification.
* • Previous Care Assistant experience within a hospital/nursing home setting.
* • Personal competence and capacity to properly discharge the duties of the role.
