Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Manager to lead our site operations and drive project success.
* Develop and implement site safety strategies in collaboration with the safety and project teams.
* Establish and maintain high-quality standards across all site activities.
* Closely monitor project schedules to ensure timely completion and adapt to any changes as needed.
* Oversee project costs, including labour, materials, plant, and variations, to optimize financial performance.
* Serve as the key point of contact for day-to-day site operations and oversee progress alignment with project goals.
* Directly supervise the on-site team and coordinate with all disciplines to ensure seamless execution.
* Evaluate subcontractor performance, progress, and manpower levels to identify areas for improvement.
* Organize regular coordination meetings with subcontractors and package leads to ensure effective communication and cooperation.
* Ensure snagging and punch lists are efficiently managed in support of quality assurance and quality control.
* Track and report labour hours for direct staff and subcontractors to facilitate accurate resource allocation.
* Conduct site meetings and reviews throughout the project lifecycle to foster open communication and address any concerns promptly.
Responsibilities:
The successful Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for delivering mechanical process piping and playing a critical role in managing site safety with the project and safety teams.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Mechanical Project Manager or similar position.
* A trade background or relevant third-level qualification in engineering or construction.
* Demonstrated ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and construction programmes effectively.
* A strong understanding of the complete design and construction lifecycle is essential.
* Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects.
* A full, clean driver's licence is required.
