Role Overview
The CEO will lead the business through its next phase of growth, driving commercial performance, operational excellence, and cultural alignment across the organisation. This role will partner closely with the Head of Pricing and senior leadership team to build a scalable, customer-centric, and profitable insurance business.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in the Irish insurance market, a track record of leading commercial growth, and the ability to build strong broker and partner relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Define and deliver a clear growth strategy aligned to the company’s long-term objectives.
Strengthen the organisation’s competitive position in the Irish insurance market.
Drive modernisation across pricing, underwriting, distribution, and operations.
Commercial & Distribution
Lead commercial and distribution strategy, ensuring profitable growth across all channels.
Build strong relationships with brokers, partners, and industry bodies.
Identify and develop new product opportunities and market segments.
Operational & Financial Oversight
Ensure financial stability and regulatory compliance across the business.
Oversee operational performance, ensuring efficiency and high-quality service delivery.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
People & Culture
Lead, coach, and motivate a high-performing leadership team.
Foster a culture grounded in accountability, innovation, and customer focus.
Support talent development and organisational capability building.
Experience Required
Senior leadership experience within the Irish insurance industry (CEO, MD, Director level, or equivalent) ideal. Will consider experience across other geographies.
Experience in MGA's is a distinct advantage.
Proven success in commercial growth, distribution leadership, or underwriting management.
Background in broker relationship management and market development.
Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams through change and growth.
Deep knowledge of Irish regulatory requirements and insurance governance standards.
