Production Shift Manager
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating shift activities in our dairy processing plant. This involves optimising performance, ensuring products meet the highest standards, and adhering to health and safety policies.
Key Responsibilities
* Manufacture products to the highest standards in a safe, cost-effective, and efficient manner.
* Lead the Production and Maintenance Teams, utilising their capabilities through effective leadership, processes, and accurate measurement against business objectives.
* Identify and implement process improvements in conjunction with key stakeholders.
* Ensure strict adherence to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
* Maintain and drive quality standards in process, people, and product.
* Capacity planning for existing and future products.
* Identify and implement Lean initiatives.
* Contribute to the culture of continuous improvement.
* Report and communicate effectively with senior management on an ongoing basis.
Requirements
* Experience in a production role in a Food processing environment (distinct advantage).
* Foof/Science or Process/Engineering/Production Management qualification or equivalent (distinct advantage).
* Proven track record of operational success.
* Strong people skills, project management, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
* Ability to continually improve the quality and effectiveness of all activities.
* IT and report writing skills.
* High standards of systems compliance.
* Strong inter-personal and communication skills.
* High motivation, flexibility, and ability to work on own initiative.
