Our client is recruiting a hands-on
Maintenance Technician
to join their team in
Sligo
on a
permanent contract
to help keep their equipment and facilities running smoothly.
Responsibilities
Maintain and repair machinery, plant equipment, and building systems to keep production running smoothly.
Carry out regular preventative maintenance and record all work in the company's maintenance system (eMaint).
Respond quickly to breakdowns, perform repairs, and help get equipment back up and running.
Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment or utilities.
Work with external contractors and equipment suppliers, managing their work safely on site.
Partner with Operations and Quality teams to identify and resolve equipment or process issues.
Investigate recurring equipment issues to find and fix the root cause.
Assist with internal audits and reviews of equipment performance.
Manage spare parts and maintenance supplies.
Take part in projects to improve equipment performance and reliability.
Suggest and support process improvements to help increase efficiency (OEE).
Provide training to other staff when required.
Be available for on-call emergency support and future shift work.
Requirements
A technical or trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience working with systems such as HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical controls, or building services.
At least 3 years of experience in a GMP-regulated environment (pharma, medical devices, or similar).
Experience maintaining production equipment, utilities, and facilities systems.
Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) — experience with eMaint is an advantage.
