Are you passionate about making a real difference in people's lives?We're looking for a compassionate and dedicated Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our dynamic team in our Clare, Limerick & North Tipperary Service, where person-centred care is at the heart of everything we do.About the Role:As a Senior Clinical Psychologist with Acquired Brain Injury Ireland, you will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals living with an acquired brain injury to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives. You will be responsible for conducting psychological assessments for both current and prospective clients, helping to shape personalised rehabilitation programmes that reflect each person's unique strengths, needs, and aspirations. Working closely with clients, their families, and out interdisciplinary teams, you will offer compassionate guidance and clinical expertise that fosters recovery, resilience, and connection.The contract available is a Permanent, Full-Time, 35 hours.The salary will be based on the HSE 2022 Senior Clinical Psychologist payscale, pro-rated based on hours worked.What You'll Be Doing:Deliver tailored psychological assessments, therapies, and interventions that support each client's unique journeyCollaborate with clients, families, and colleagues to shape service planning and contribute to meaningful policy developmentShare your expertise through training and mentoring, helping staff grow in line with ABI Ireland's mission and valuesSupport residential services by guiding staff in implanting positive behaviour support plans and offering clinical input to enhance client wellbeingWork closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure clients receive holistic, coordinated supportMaintain accurate clinical records and contribute to data collection that informs service development and quality improvementWho We're Looking For:We're seeking a compassionate and forward-thinking individual who is passionate about empowering individuals with an acquired brain injury to live life on their own terms. You will bring warmth, empathy, and clinical expertise to every interaction. You will be confident in delivering psychological assessments, tailored to each person's needs. You will enjoy mentoring and supporting others, communicate clearly and respectfully, and share our belief that every person deserves dignity, autonomy, and a voice in their care.Must Haves:Full driving licenceHave a university degree or diploma (QQI Level 8 equivalent) obtained with 1st or 2nd class honours in which Psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subjectAndHave an Irish post-graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical, Counselling or Educational PsychologyOrAn equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction validated by the Department of HealthAndDemonstrate competence in working in the care group applied for (either 60 days or equivalent supervised clinical placements as part of the professional qualification; or 60 days or equivalent post-qualification supervised work experience with the care group applied for)AndApplicants must have at least five years satisfactory post-graduate experience in the area of professional psychology, no more than three years of which was spent in gaining the postgraduate professional qualification and no less than two years fulltime spent in post qualification experience as a professional psychologist.
