An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join a leading distribution centre in Naas County Kildare.
As Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of Health and Safety Specialists and overseeing the implementation of the health and safety strategy across two sites.
This position is offered on a 15-month fixed-term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with health and safety, fire safety, food safety, and trading legislation.
* Lead and manage a team of Health and Safety Specialists operating across two regions.
* Provide strategic direction for the implementation of health and safety standards across all operational areas.
* Chair and lead health and safety working groups and projects to promote best practices and consistency across the business.
* Oversee the company's response to enforcement actions or regulatory interventions within the designated regions.
* Conduct thorough investigations into serious accidents and incidents, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to the Health and Safety Authority.
* Coordinate ongoing reviews of national documentation to ensure alignment with Irish regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
* 3+ years' experience in a similar role.
* NEBOSH Diploma qualified or holds a similar relevant degree level qualification in H&S or Environmental Health.
* Experience in managing and coaching a team of health and safety professionals.
* Ideally experience within H&S in Retail, Logistics or Food Safety.
* Strong understanding of Irish health and safety legislation.
* You have a full and valid driving licence.
