The ideal candidate will have strong technical and people management skills, subject matter expert in data related technologies and a proven ability to successfully lead teams.**Key responsibilities include:**Manage and develop technical team to deliver quality solutions to development,securityand technology standardsManage activities related to planning and control of the function including service improvements, staffrecruitmentand performance appraisalsSubject matter expert on data integration and data related cloud solutionsUnderstanding the business issues of our clients anddeterminingwhat are the opportunities for technology to form part of the solution to those issues.Identifyingtheappropriate technologysolutions and designing,developingand implementing those solutions.Define and manage service level agreements for the core serviceSupport the line of service technology and transformationteamsdedicated market offerings asappropriate.Manage third party vendors delivering development services data integrations and othersTechnical lead on data technology discussions and projectsDesign, develop and implement innovative solutions using agile software development methodologiesEnsure quality process and solution design documents are producedDevelop quality assurance procedures and ensure solutionsadhereto thisManage software development lifecycle on Azure DevOpsScope/Overall Summary of Role & ResponsibilitiesWork with client teams to deliver and manage to deliver and manage IT/process projects/automation projects.Support engagementteamsuse of technologies to improveefficiencies.Liaise with PwC's central IT teams to deliver value added services and support.Support and report directly to senior management.Proposing,definingand documenting reusable solutions and fixes.Supporting and testing new/upgrades software.Creating statistics on usage of various applications.Documenting technical and risk documentation. Document procedures for incident resolution.Education/Professional QualificationsCandidates to have a third level qualification (Hons) in an IT related disciplineExperience required:Minimum 5years' experienceoperatingat the senior support levelandincludingSQL and data integration servicesexperienceStrong knowledge and experience of developing solutions in cloudservicesusingData Pipelines, Python and SQL technologies, Azure Cloud Service is a plusExperience in leading and managing teams and suppliersSQL skills, including the ability to write queries, read stored proceduresin project coordination, alongside practical application of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban, and a solid understanding of iterative development practices.Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and experience with version control systems such as Git.Knowledge and experience of using a formal Project Managementmethodology(eg.Six Sigma, Prince2 )would be veryadvantageous.SkillsExcellent troubleshooting abilities.Excellent customer managementand interpersonalskills.Supervisory skills.Time Management skills.Ability to adapt to change.Strong communicationskills with the ability to communicate effectively with senior managementand to anon-technicalaudienceDemonstrates a commitment to quality and integrityTechnical KnowledgeThe following experience\skills would beadvantageous:Strong experienceusing Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, and SQL, orsimilartechnologiesStrong ProgrammingskillsinPython, Java,C#,VB,R,VBA, Office Script.Microsoft Power Platform and/or Azure resources like Logic App or Function App skills.Proficient in Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps, for developing automated workflows, custom applications, and system integrations is desirable but not essentialExperience ofdata science tools likeDatabricks,Alteryx, Dataiku.Knowledge of datavisualisationsoftware such as Power BI,Tableauor Qlik.Effectively managing code using Git and Azure DevOps.Unlock your potential with PwC IrelandWe believe that challenges are better solved together We'reinspiring and empowering our people to change the world.
