DRUM - IBC WASHERWe are seeking a reliable, hands-on, safety-conscious, and hardworking individual to join our team as a Yard Operative/ Drum and IBC Washer. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient cleaning of used industrial drums and Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs), preparing them for reuse, recycling, or disposal. You'll also support wider yard operations, including offloading deliveries of empty IBCs, maintaining a clean and organised site, and assisting with container handling and storage.ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESOperate drum and IBC washing systems (manual and automated)Inspect and record the condition of containers (drums and IBCs) — cleaned, scrapped, reused, or rejectedUnload trucks delivering empty IBCs and drums using a counterbalance forklift (training provided)Organise and store containers safely and efficiently around the yardMaintain a clean and tidy yard area, including sweeping, waste disposal, and general upkeepRecord and report all incoming returns using basic record-keeping systems (training provided)Use appropriate PPE and follow all site safety proceduresCarry out daily checks on equipment and report any defects or issuesSupport the wider operations team as neededTHE INDIVIDUALPhysically fit and comfortable with outdoor, manual work in all weather.Safety focused with a respect for Health and Safety standards and proceduresStrong attention to detail and basic organisational skillsWillingness to operate machinery and learn new processesReliable and punctual, with a proactive approach to teamworkPositive attitude and willingness to learn and get stuck in.Good communicatorTeam playerA good command of the English language, essential.EXPERIENCEFull clean drivers' licenceValid work permitPrevious forklift experience preferable but not essentialPrevious chemical experience preferable but not essentialBENEFITSGood benefits package provided including Company Pension Scheme, Death In Service, Income Protection and EAP.All training will be provided along with the opportunity for further education.Job Type: Full-timePay: €13.50-€16.50 per hourBenefits:Bike to work schemeCompany eventsCompany pensionOn-site parkingSick payApplication question(s):Do you have previous experience working with chemicals?
