FMC is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Senior Operations Finance Analyst to join our global finance team. This pivotal role supports both Global and Regional Operations Finance (OF) teams by delivering insightful management reporting, coordinating forecasts and budgets, and conducting ad hoc analyses. The analyst will prepare periodic management reporting packages, analyse business results, support forecast and budget consolidations, and liaise with the Management Reporting and Planning Center of Excellence (COE). This position reports directly to the Global FP&A Director of Operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead monthly close processes, including variance analysis (e.g., purchase price, material usage, toll fees, volume, spend) and necessary accruals or adjustments.
* Deliver insightful analysis on financial results and performance drivers to senior leadership.
* Coordinate forecasts and budgets, including cost projections and variance explanations.
* Ensure inventory accuracy through reviews, reconciliations, and support of physical counts (may involve limited travel).
* Identify and recommend operational improvements using trend and variance data (e.g., BOM updates, tolling, inventory adjustments).
* Support logistics cost reviews, including freight and duty analysis.
* Assist with audit processes and continuous improvement initiatives at global and regional levels.
* Provide reporting and analytical support to Operations Finance leadership and collaborate with the FP&A COE.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
* Advanced credentials (MBA, CA, or CMA) preferred.
* 4–6 years of experience in FP&A, product costing, or operations finance, ideally within manufacturing or the chemicals industry.
* Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and the full financial reporting cycle.
* Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to interpret complex data and challenge assumptions.
* Skilled in cross-functional communication and executive-level reporting.
* Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and general Office applications.
* Self-starter with a hands-on, adaptable mindset and the ability to thrive in a remote, fast-changing environment.
