Our client is a recovery-focused mental health service in Dublin that provides psychosocial rehabilitation and community integration supports for adults living with mental health challenges. Operating under the internationally recognised model, they offer members a supportive environment where they can build skills, confidence, and a sense of belonging through participation in meaningful work and social engagement.
The Role
Our client is seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic Social Care Worker to join their multidisciplinary team. This role involves working side-by-side with members in a partnership model to support their recovery journey and foster their participation in the daily running of the centre. The successful candidate will be deeply committed to recovery principles and community inclusion.
Key Responsibilities of the Social Care Worker:
* Support members in engaging in meaningful roles within the centre (e.g., administration, hospitality, employment, and social activities)
* Facilitate one-to-one and group-based recovery planning and skill development
* Promote member autonomy, empowerment, and participation in all aspects of Clubhouse operations
* Work collaboratively with community agencies, health professionals, and employment services
* Maintain accurate and timely records in line with best practice and organisational policy
* Assist in the planning and coordination of social and recreational programmes
* Participate in the ongoing development and promotion of the Clubhouse model
Essential Requirements for the Social Care Worker:
* A recognised qualification in Social Care, Social Work, Psychology, or related human services discipline
* Experience working in adult mental health, community-based services, or similar settings
* Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and teamwork skills
* An understanding of recovery-oriented and strengths-based approaches
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* A flexible, collaborative approach to supporting people in their recovery
Desirable
* Group facilitation skills
* Creative approaches to community inclusion and social engagement
* Full clean driving licence an advantage
