The Electrical Engineer will provide technical electrical design support across site operations and assist with small-scale projects. The role involves ensuring reliable and compliant electrical systems, supporting design reviews and installations, and contributing to the maintenance and continuous improvement of site infrastructure.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Design and maintenance of Low Voltage (LV) systems (e.g., lighting, general services, UPS, protection settings including arc flash) and Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems (e.g., fire alarm, data points, building automation).
Manage small projects related to electrical infrastructure.
Support design reviews, site acceptance tests, and installation of electrical equipment.
Prepare, update, and maintain electrical drawings and all related documentation.
Design and specify cGMP-compliant E&I equipment and process control systems.
Manage electrical systems operating on the business IT network.
Support the validation department through preparation of design documents and assistance with protocol execution.
Assist with investigations into equipment and control system anomalies, including power quality issues.
Prepare engineering evaluations and execute modification change control documentation.
Supervise electrical contractors and ensure all work meets required standards.
Prepare risk assessments, method statements, and all documentation related to site Health & Safety.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with procedures, policies, and regulations.
Uphold company reputation by ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, standards, and internal policies.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
4+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, project support, or related fields.
