Support Worker in Community-Based Settings
This role involves working with adults who have intellectual and physical disabilities, autism, and complex needs. The aim is to provide person-centred support that empowers them to live fulfilling lives in community-based settings.
We are partnering with a leading disability support service to recruit full-time, permanent Support Workers in Kildare. This service provides innovative, life-enhancing care across 12 residential communities and 4-day services nationwide.
As a Support Worker, you will work alongside a dynamic and supportive team to promote independence and social inclusion for adults in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide person-centred support to individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities, autism, and complex needs.
* Work alongside a dynamic and supportive team to promote independence and social inclusion for adults in your care.
* Contribute to and evolve personalised care plans.
Requirements:
* Minimum Level 7 QQI qualification in Social Care Studies (or equivalent in Health/Social Care)
* At least 1 year's experience supporting vulnerable adults or individuals with intellectual disabilities
* Experience managing or responding to challenging behaviours
* Strong understanding of adult safeguarding legislation and national social care policies
* Full, clean manual driver's licence and access to own car
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and IT skills (Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)
