The engineers will conduct system-level testing onHardware-in-the-Loop (HIL)platforms located onsite in Shannon, Ireland.This work forms part of a wider cross-functional team responsible for validatingfunctional safety featureswithin thehigh-voltage power supply system, including On-Board Charging, DC-DC converters, Battery Management Systems (BMS), and Energy Management components.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive testing of safety-critical embedded systems on HIL setupsWork onsite in Shannon 5 days a week within the customer's workshop environmentAttend all relevant team meetings and provide regular updates on testing progressLog and escalate impediments or test blockers in a timely mannerDocument all testing activities in accordance with defined standards and processesReview requirements and design documentation to define appropriate test strategiesDevelop, execute, and automate test cases aligned with functional safety requirementsReport defects and anomalies using defined defect management processesMaintain and develop HIL test assets and simulation models for closed-loop testingEnsure testing follows ISO 26262 and other applicable safety standardsContribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiativesSupport project closure and documentation handover at the end of the engagementRequired Skills & ExperienceSolid experience testing embedded systems in automotive or power electronics domainsUnderstanding of functional safety systems, including ISO 26262Experience with On-Board Charging, DC-DC converters, Battery Management, and supervisory circuitsHands-on experience with National Instruments hardware and tools, including:PXI, DAQ cards, CAN, LIN, Ethernet interfacesNI TestStand, VeriStand, LabVIEWAbility to implement automated test cases with accurate timing sequencesExperience building or using simulation models as part of closed-loop HIL testingStrong documentation, test reporting, and defect-logging skillsDesirableFamiliarity with automotive development environments and testing frameworksPrior experience working as part of a cross-functional safety-focused engineering teamExperience in system integration or diagnostics in high-voltage EV platforms
