Registered Psychologist – ASD Assessment
Locations: Hybrid Work - a mix of on site (Dublin or Kilkenny) and home working
Options Available: Self‑Employed Contractor or Permanent Employment
Salary (Permanent): Up to €110,000
Contractor Rate: €1,400 per completed assessment
We are recruiting a Registered Psychologist to join a specialist service delivering psychologist‑led neurodevelopmental (ASD) assessments in Ireland. Opportunities are available on either a self‑employed contractor basis or as a permanent member of the team, depending on your preferences.
This service offers a well‑established, multidisciplinary assessment pathway and focuses on delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based autism diagnostics.
The Role
You will act as the lead clinician for full ASD assessments, completing clinic‑based work. The role involves end‑to‑end clinical responsibility, supported by Occupational Therapy and Speech & Language Therapy input.
Assessment Pathway
Each assessment includes:
ADI‑R (can be completed virtually)
Cognitive assessment using WISC‑V or WAIS
Functional and sensory assessment completed by an OT or Speech & Language Therapist
Integration of findings and diagnostic formulationFeedback session with the client and/or family
Completion of a comprehensive written diagnostic report

Requirements
Registration as a Chartered Psychologist with the PSI
Experience leading ASD assessments
Competence with ADI‑R, ADOS‑2, WISC‑V and/or WAIS
Strong clinical formulation and report‑writing skills
Ability to work independently as lead clinician
