The Role As a Sales Consultant (Animal Health), you will represent our client directly on-farm, supporting dairy farmers in their transition toward proactive, preventative herd health management. This is a relationship-driven role focused on education, customer experience, and long-term partnership building. Day to day, you will support farmers, respond to enquiries, follow up on leads, and act as a trusted advisor. You will also collaborate closely with office teams and headquarters to provide insights, expertise, and content for communication channels. This is a field-based role suited to someone confident, proactive, and passionate about animal health and dairy farm productivity. Key Responsibilities Provide expert advice and guidance to dairy farmers on product concepts and herd health solutions. Maintain and grow existing accounts while identifying new business opportunities. Meet revenue, retention, and performance targets. Convert warm prospects into long-term clients. Work closely with the Sales Manager and internal office teams. Handle customer queries efficiently and professionally. Collaborate with office teams on stock and product management. Stay up-to-date with local market trends, product developments, and industry insights. Candidate Profile Third-level qualification preferred (Agriculture or related field), though not essential. Previous field sales experience (1+ year) or relevant internship in a B2C environment. Dairy farm experience - professional or personal - is highly advantageous. Full, valid driving licence required. Comfortable with frequent local travel. Strong communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills. IT proficient (MS Office). Self-driven, organised, and results-oriented with a practical mindset. Able to work independently and as part of a wider team. Must currently reside or work within the target region.
