Position Summary
The Discipline of Physiotherapy at UCC, in collaboration with the School of Computer Science and Information Technology, is now seeking a dynamic candidate for the key position of Senior Research Coordinator to ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of the ScaleUp4Rehab project, to manage and ensure full implementation of the ScaleUp4Rehab project's policies and procedures, and to engage effectively with our key stakeholders and funders.
The Senior Research Coordinator is a key position within the ScaleUp4Rehab project to ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of the unit (recruitment and HR, labs, infrastructure and equipment), to manage and ensure full implementation of the project policies and procedures, and to engage effectively with key stakeholders and funders.
The Senior Research Coordinator will work closely with the ScaleUp4Rehab project executive and management teams across the consortium to contribute operational expertise in the development and implementation of organisational strategies, policies, practices, projects, delivery of KPIs, reporting and the development of funding proposals.
As a member of the Management Team, the Senior Research Coordinator will be expected to contribute to the development and implementation of ScaleUp4Rehab project strategy and to contribute to business development.
The Senior Research Coordinator will also play a key role in the implementation of ScaleUp4Rehab project's reporting schedule in line with its research programme, ensuring that the scope and timelines of all research activities are on schedule, and that ScaleUp4Rehab complies fully with mandatory reporting requirements.
They will also manage the ScaleUp4Rehab project, including strategic allocation of human resources, and management of the digital interventions and systems for the platform, including oversight and preparation of new applications.
The Senior Research Coordinator will also be involved in the design, development and deployment of VR digital interventions and their integration with educational curricula.
Working closely with project partners they will coordinate Pilot Studies and research activities.
Scientific background and experience in the field of computer science, interactive media, and virtual reality are required.
Professional experience of designing and developing a VR physiotherapy intervention is an essential requirement.
Experience of managing activities in an EU funded project is an essential requirement.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, enthusiastic, very organised and capable of managing a heavy and diverse workload.
She/He will be able to work under pressure and be able to effectively manage many competing demands simultaneously.
